(1) Basics

If you know by now, the pin game has been strong throughout social media and retail. From shops like UO, ThinkGeek, Hot Topic and the local Mom and Pop shops are entering the pin game. Pins have been around the scene for a long time and we can all thank Disney World for that …seriously though…

The hype on pins are growing everyday and small businesses that are found on IG and other social media platforms are taking over the game slowly but surely. Hashtags being thrown around like #pingame #pingamestrong are the top tags for the pin beasts. I love this game and the collectibility of it all. They’re cheap. They’re collectible and rare. They’re small enough to put in your pocket or wherever you want to put it. And that is the beauty of it all. And being one of the lucky people to pick up a rare and exclusive pin is the best feeling in the world, because you know why? Only 50 people get to have it and that’s it. I’m not here to lecture or bore you on pins because if you’re here on my blog reading this, than you already know the game.

This blog is for me to give my input and thoughts on different pins I see on the market available or that have been sold out or will be available soon. My opinion is my opinion right? I have been in the collectible industry for a long time and have created success within it. My goal is not to be biased on anything, ill give my honest thoughts and the creative behind everything whether it’s one of my own companies or competitor or whoever. We’ll be putting up videos as well so stay tuned.

(!) Pinning.

This is definitely a biased pin article, but how can I not be?

I have to say that the Pin Club official Tokyo Atom pins are the hottest pins i’ve ever seen, held, collected, made and best company I’ve worked with. I can’t get too much into the nitty gritty of it all, but we can do a video later on the collaboration and when they’ll be released this year..

Astroboy pinclub

This series alone was one of the easiest in terms of figuring out what pins to choose and what to take from their style guides. I have so much respect for Tezuka Productions and their team. They really have built an amazing company and are truly a hype beast brand. I tend to gravitate towards Japanese labels, only because of the creativity and thought process that goes into character designs. Simplistic but the feeling and emotions you get from them is immense and very satisfying to look at. I won’t be biased since this is one of our licensed labels, however, it is definitely one of my favorite pins ever released.
